Selected as a Great Indian Entrepreneur by WCRCLEADERS, Ajay Harinath of the Darwin Platform Group has been a pioneer in the market with unique strategy and created a niche in every sector it has operated.

In conversation with Ajay Harinath, Founder and Chairman, Darwin Platform Group.

Years of working in the industry, your contribution reflects versatility and volubility. What has influenced your decision making process at various stages?

Several factors influence decision making. These factors, including past experience cognitive biases, age and individual differences, belief in personal relevance, and an escalation of commitment, influence what choices people make. Understanding the factors that influence decision making process is important to understanding what decisions are made. That is, the factors that influence the process may impact the outcomes.

Ajay Harinath Darwin Platform Group

An accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career?

Passionate about customer service and aim to exceed the expectations of our clients’ ambition and thrive on quantifiable targets and results. Consider working backwards to ensure and highlight the best qualities sufficiently.

How do you integrate corporate philanthropy or corporate social responsibility as a part of your business strategies?

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), became mandatory for businesses in India a little over two years ago. The initial scramble to fulfil the letter of the law has given way to an attempt to really understand and embrace CSR initiatives with an eye to making it a part of the corporation’s culture and dna.

What has been your driving force or philosophy in life?

It never ceases to amaze me how much time people waste searching endlessly for magic shortcuts to entrepreneurial success and fulfillment when the only real path is staring them right in the face: real entrepreneurs who start real businesses that employ real people who provide real products and services to real customers. Yes, I know that’s hard. It’s a lot of work. What can I say, that’s life. Besides, look on the bright side: You get to do what you want and you get to do it your way. There’s just one catch. You’ve got to start somewhere. Ideas and opportunities don’t just materialize out of thin air.

What are the other philanthropic works you are involved in?

Environmental concerns,Philanthropy, Ethical labor practices, Economic responsibility, Increase employee satisfaction, Boost customer loyalty,Improve your public image.

How do you define success and how do you measure up to your own definition?

Success is not a destination it is a journey where you will feel satisfied that your work which is completed by hard work or smart work and our complete work makes us happy or healthy that is a success, Successful people don’t relaxed in swings, They relaxed in work, they sleep with dream & awake with commitment. I think this the meaning of Success.

We are constantly making things better, faster, smarter or less expensive. In other words, we strive to do more with less. Tell me about a recent project or solution to a problem that you have made better, faster, smarter or less expensive?

We strive to do more with less so those with less can do more,We have created job opportunity for youths in 2020.

In your opinion what is the most significant aspect of leadership?

Honesty and Integrity. Great leaders create an organizational culture built on these two core values and hold all employees accountable to them.

Your perception of an empowered society. How far your industry has / can contribute to the same?

“The supreme quality of leadership is unquestionably integrity.

Ajay Harinath Darwin Platform Group

PERSONAL GRID

One thing you wish to change and one thing you wish to retain about your industry?

There should be more openness towards ideas that conflict our own. We should end global warming, crime, war, racism, terrorism, cancer, pollution, poverty, climate change and more. Those are all things that many people would change about the world but I want everyone to think bigger.

One thing you have to let go off as an entrepreneur/leader?

As an entrepreneur, you are your best friend and your worst enemy. You vacillate between believing in your ability to take on the world, making it better as only you can, and doubting your worth, self-sabotaging through procrastination and unnecessary spending. You can make 2020 your best year yet, but in order to do so, you’ll need to let go of a few nasty habits.

Who do you owe your success to?

The voice of my spirit whispers to me to keep going no matter how dark the night gets. It is the feeling or intuition that there is something more to the story that remains to be seen.

Best thing about your job?

It feels so good to help others unconditionally.

A message from you to all the future entrepreneurs/leaders?

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
