Ryan Pinto, CEO, Ryan International Group of Institutions (RIGI), one of India’s youngest entrepreneurs in the K-12 education sector, strongly advocates the use of emerging technology to teach children in India.
After completing his graduation from Aston University, UK, and specialising in management and strategy, Ryan also has a masters degree in business and entrepreneurship from Cass Business School, London.
Ryan has been instrumental in expanding the foothold of the Ryan organisation in India and overseas. With 128 institutions and more than 2,00,000 students, Ryan hopes to transform the conventional schools into dynamic and interactive learning environments. Leading the group for the past seven years, Ryan is responsible for the overall functioning of the organisation in India and abroad. He established the institute in UAE’s Sharjah and Abu Dhabi and continues to expand its presence.
In India, Ryan branched out to various cities of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana and Karnataka.
Describing his leadership style as transformational, he has added International Baccalaureate (IB) and CIE (Cambridge) curriculum to the group’s offering and also initiated partnership with World Scholars Group (WSC).
Ryan also pioneered a school-level tennis development programme in association with India’s leading tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi. The programme has now developed into a full-fledged Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academy (MBTA).
In 2012, Ryan initiated another sports development programme in cricket, basketball, badminton, table-tennis and chess by collaborating with Anil Kumble’s premier sports training and consulting company ‘Tenvic’.
Additionally, Ryan also initiated India’s first school football programme with Baichung Bhutia and organised a scientific chess training programme with Viswanathan Anand.
Ryan serves as a board member of ‘One Hope’ and ‘Hope Education’, US-based nongovernmental organisations, and he has also co-chaired the US-India Business Council (USIBC) education initiative.
The teachings of Christ and Bible have been a driving force in Ryan’s life. He believes that, “not everyone has equal opportunity or resources, but one should continue to contribute to the society.”
With a vision to make Ryan Group India’s premier K-12 chain present across the globe, Ryan has been making his contribution by educating, enriching and empowering youth around the world. There are still miles to cover but Ryan believes, “the greater the challenge, the bigger the victory.”
