79-Pirojsha-GodrejAppointed in 2012 as the chief executive officer and managing director of Godrej Properties, a subsidiary of Godrej Industries Limited, Pirojsha Godrej holds a bachelors degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a masters in international affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a masters in business administration from Columbia Business School. He was an executive director at Godrej Properties Limited since November 1, 2008.

Since the first time he stepped into Godrej Properties Limited as a management trainee, Pirojsha has actively participated in building strategies for the company. This member of the fourth generation of the Godrej family has been in key leadership positions across all sections of the company’s business operations.

Apart from being a widely travelled foodie, Pirojsha has a keen interest in politics and hence undertook his summer internship in New York at the Senate Office of Hillary Clinton and served as additional private secretary to the minister of state for external affairs, Government of India, in New Delhi. From his busy schedule, Pirojsha manages to take out time for cricket, hunting for rare books and chess.

Under his leadership, the company has launched many new projects. On the residential front, the company has launched Godrej Central, Godrej City and Godrej Palms in Mumbai, Godrej United in Bangalore, Godrej Oasis in Gurgaon and Godrej Prana in Pune. Then, on the commercial front, he helped the company launch The Trees and Godrej One in Mumbai. One of the most awaited projects of Godrej Properties is Godrej One in Mumbai. This commercial building will have a total space of 750,000 square feet out of which 250,000 square feet will be used as the headquarters for several Godrej Group companies while the remaining 500,000 square feet will be leased to external tenants. Another project of importance is Godrej City in Panvel, Mumbai. This massive 150 acres integrated selfsufficient township will be replete with every conceivable amenity.
