Established in 1999 in Bangalore (India), Oasis International School is affiliated to the University of Cambridge and follows the syllabus as per the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) guidelines. It became a Cambridge International Centre in the year 2005, and two years later, it was registered as a member of the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP).

While Oasis pre-school follows the Montessori programme, its primary schools follow the CIPP of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). The students enrolled in its secondary school (Cambridge Secondary 1), at the end of their curriculum, appear for the Cambridge Checkpoint Test which gives them a detailed SWOT analysis according to their performance. For the students in Oasis’s high school (Cambridge Secondary 2), the IGSCE curriculum is followed with an aim to teach subjects that are of challenging nature and also give the students an international outlook. Just recently, the school opened the admission process for admitting students in their pre-university courses of education.

Starting with just four students, Oasis, over 15 years, has managed to build a large student base of around 1,125 – from pre-school to 11th grade. The school also has a team of full-time counsellors and clinical psychologists to assist and guide them through their academic and psychological issues.

The school’s science stream offers a combination of chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics, and the commerce stream offers a combination of accountancy, economics, business studies and computer studies.

Admissions at Oasis are open throughout the year. The admission in their Montessori programme is done on the basis of the candidates’ age group along with their readiness to join the school. Above that level, however, candidates will be required to appear for an entrance exam followed by an interview. All candidates who are interested to enrol can either contact the school’s Cox Town campus or its Hennur Road campus, both in Bangalore. However, the applications for admissions in its pre-university college are only accepted in the latter.

Oasis was accredited by the British Council of India in 2006 for incorporating international dimension in its curriculum.
