EXPRESSION OF GLORY
The Mahindra Gusto is powered by Mahindra’s M-TEC engine which is a 109.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 8 bhp of power at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels.
BRICKS & CLICKS
The Mahindra Gusto possesses a refreshing new design compared all the other scooters on sale in India, with a lot of sharp creases sans curves. Wide seats make it riding a joy for the rider as well as the pillion. The riding posture is quite upright, with comfortably positioned foot-pegs for the pillion. The Gusto comes with quite a few features, such as height adjustable seat, remote flip key with LED flashlight, find me lamps and guide lamps.
RESOLUTE & RESONANCE
Unlike the small 25.4 cm (10-inch) tyres other scooters have, the Gusto comes with extra-large 30.4 cm (12 inch) tyres to deliver rock-solid stability at any speed. They are also tubeless, making them much safer. The Telescopic Suspension with Air Springs has the unique ability of making rough terrain virtually non-existent. Also, it’s thoughtfully designed to offer exceptional stability and seriously precise handling.
The 2016 Mahindra Gusto mileage is about 63 kmpl. The scooter is available in four colors namely Volcanic Red, Magnetic Magenta, Iceberg White and Galactic Black. It is the first scooter in India that comes with a unique Height-Adjustable Seat. Now everyone can effortlessly raise or lower the seat height to a position that suits them the best, for a comfortable and safe ride. It comes fitted with an innovative pocket-like storage facility just under the display panel. It’s thoughtfully designed and as the name suggests, it’s designed for quick and easy access.
The Gusto provides ease of use, which is a must in this segment. The engine is refined, and vibrations are kept to a minimum. The acceleration from the motor is smooth and progressive, and even at speeds of 70-80kph, the scooter feels planted.
