Our favourite TV series The Big Bang Theory is coming to an end, and Kaley Cuoco definitely knows how to drum up the hype. The 33-year-old actress posted an teaser photo to Instagram last week of herself and Johnny Galecki behind-the-scenes, in which her abs were the centre of attention.
“I spend the entire episode in lingerie,” Cuoco captioned the shot. “Kidding just one scene – don’t miss it!”
Judging from the endless list of comments, it’s pretty obvs we weren’t the only ones who couldn’t stop staring at her six-pack.
“Guuuurlll when r we working out together?!!! Lol! You look amazing!!!!?” 2 Broke Girls actress Beth Behrs commented.
“Damn lifting bunnies gets you ripped,” Whitney Cummings joked.
So, where in the world have Cuoco’s abs come from?
In an interview with Women’s Health, The Big Bang Theory actress revealed (lots of) planks is the key to sculpting rock-solid abs.
Although she has always been active, most recently she’s learned to love lifting weights and has even developed a passion for yoga. Cuoco explained that continuously changing up her fitness regimen is the key to keeping her motivated.
“If I get a little bit bored, I’ll switch over to SoulCycle, which I love too,” she told Women’s Health. “It’s all or nothing. I’m hot or cold. I’m not a gray area. So if I’m doing yoga, we’re doing it every day this week….Then I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I have to switch.’ Then I’m going crazy on SoulCycle….‘Okay, I have to switch.’”
In another interview with Shape, Cuoco’s personal trainer George King admitted she is obsessed with training her abs.
“Kaley loves abs,” King revealed. “One of her favourite abs exercise circuits involves a BOSU Ball sit-up to squat jump, plank jumping jacks, and alternating prone dumbbell tricep kickbacks on the floor.”
As for her diet, King revealed that although she “isn’t a big fan of meal plans or diets,” he asks Cuoco to avoid white rice, bread and potatoes.
“She can have carbs in the morning, for lunch, and maybe some a little after,” King added. “But as the day progresses, she’ll consume less and less so that by her last meal of the day, she’ll be eating just green veggies and a source of protein.”
