Years of working in the industry, your contribution reflects versatility and volubility. In your own perception- How did you emerge as one of the most powerful Indian women?
Success comes by the little steps we take towards our goals. I believe the support of loved ones and their belief in me has brought me far in becoming the woman I am today. I owe my victories to my family and to my determination as well for believing in myself.

How challenging has your journey been?
There are always ups and downs in a journey. Mine was dealing with my health issues. I however took all the challenges and shortcomings in my stride in order to climb higher. After all, temporary obstacles are meant to only show us a better way in life.

PERSONAL GRID

What things fascinate you the most when you travel?
The diversity that I witness is impressive. Food and fashion fascinate me the most.
What are your hobbies?
The sheer peacefulness of gardening, the joy of reading and the visual satisfaction of painting – these are my hobbies. I collect paintings as well.
Best and the worst thing about your job.
During the course and journey of what I do, I have been privileged to meet countless cancer survivors and hear about their real life stories. Getting to know about their journey and will power is truly an inspiration for so many out there, who suffer the consequences of cancer as a disease.
The worst part of my job is watching people lose hope.
What is a Sunday to you?
Spending quality time with my husband and children.
PS-A message from you to all the future women entrepreneurs/leaders.
Believe in yourself! Always appreciate the downfalls in your life; they will lead you to greater heights.

What has been your greatest achievement till date?
I have been and continue to fight for the cause of cancer. Spreading awareness about the novel way of healing cancer has been my constant drive.
Also, being a mother to my two sons and being there for them, whenever they need me has been a constant reassurance that I am certainly achieving the ultimate happiness in my life.

Your perception of an empowered woman. How far your industry has / can contribute for the same?
Equal rights for women are already being enforced upon in the industry. I believe that women need to always tell themselves that they can do it. They can achieve whatever they set out to accomplish.
Self-belief is the most important thing which then forces one to enhance their ability to think positively. I strongly believe that women need to develop a sense of positivity through self-belief.

In an industry so dynamic, how as a leader you comply with respect to changing trends, behavioral pattern and expectations of society.
Perception is the key to all solutions. Perception matters. Changing trends and behavioral patterns – if these do not get along with each other, there will always be a negative approach to any given situation. Society expectations only rise when certain radical actions are brought to the forefront. Indeed, personal life decisions matter but in the lives of influential personalities, where whatever is done is out in the open, perception along with a non-judgmental outlook plays a vital role here.

Be your own fortune teller! How do you see yourself 5 years down the line?
I would like to keep doing what I do – Live in style and live to heal. I foresee my future as educating people about treatments of cancer. I see myself educating healthcare professionals and leading them towards curing more people stricken with this disease.
I see myself working towards the noble causes of helping humankind lead a quality life where health is no longer an issue.

Whom do you owe your success to?
My success is a result of the constant support I have received and that obviously goes to my family and husband. Without this support, I would have certainly not been able to reach the heights that I have conquered today.
