RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The process of selecting the final winners for ‘Asia’s Best real Estate Projects and Properties To Look Out For’ was divided into two phases.

Phase 1:

The initial phase consisted of generating a list of developers and property consultants from the Indian subcontinent, GCC and ASEAN using secondary research methods and sources. A total list of about 350 developers and property consultants was generated across these three regions. The initially generated list was shortlisted based on developer/builder reputation, USP of the project (project innovations), track record in past projects delivered, features & facilities and credibility (awards/accolades). The research was conducted for three broad categories.

The three broad categories included Asia’s Iconic Projects, Asia’s Best Properties and Projects To Look Out For! The iconic projects shortlisted were the ones which were completed projects that have received global recognition for their build, design, architecture and status. The category of best projects included projects which have been completed and handed over to the customers. These were projects which have a high level of credibility and reputation and is awarded by credible organisations.

The properties in the category of Projects To Look Out For included upcoming projects which are in the development phase with appealing architectural design, floor plans & unique features, location and USP.

The shortlisted developers/builders were contacted and invited to send across entries through a process of registration. Those who took part in the registration process were required to state the USP of the project, the current project status, partners involved, if any, apart from other parameters.

Phase 2:

The entries received were scrutinised by the WCRC research team. Based on the data available from the registration document, the projects were analysed and scores were assigned. Thereafter, the scoring sheets were sent to the jury members to rate each of the projects on a scale of 1 to 10, (10 being high and 1 being low) on the parameters of builder reputation, USP of the project, Features & Facilities, architecture & design, past projects, etc. The cumulative results of the jury members and the WCRC research team formed the final list of the projects that have featured in ‘Asia’s Best real Estate Projects and Properties To Look Out For’.

The official tabulators for the project are Ernst & Young LLP (India).
